They support sustainable development in many ways. For example, they help protect the environment, support education, promote health, and assist people in need. Their actions contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They show that everyone can make a positive difference through simple acts of service.
This year, Udruga "MI" participated in Croatia volunteers campaign on May 22nd. We organized a creative workshop using reusable materials such as herbs and branches to make potpourri. People passing by could create their own. We also used wooden beads to make bracelets and organized a quiz for youngsters so they could take part in the activities. It was a good way to teach them and raise their awareness about this cause.
There were also other stands, including a blood pressure measurement stand run by the Red Cross, a free stand offering psychological support, free food distribution, and stands supporting people with disabilities. It was really interesting! In fact, all the activities and services offered that day were free.
In conclusion, I think volunteers play an important role in building a better and more sustainable world. Their efforts deserve recognition and encouragement!
