In February, we also had some Monday tombola sessions. It was a really great experience for me, as it helped me learn how to count in Croatian from 1 to 100 very quickly. The language classes are also very helpful because they feel more like exchange sessions, where I can learn some Croatian words as well.

During this month, we also attended our second and final volunteering training in Zadar. It was a wonderful experience where we could connect with other volunteers in Croatia and reflect on how far we have come. Zadar is a beautiful city, just like Split!
During March, we held a creative workshop for International Women’s Day, where we made paper flowers. The participants created very beautiful bouquets and were really happy with the activity!
Then, we started creative workshops to prepare for Easter. They used the decoupage technique to decorate plastic eggs, and every single piece of art was beautiful.
We also visited some high schools to talk about our ESC program. The goal was to share our experience and inform younger people about this volunteering opportunity. At first, it was difficult for me because I’m not used to speaking in front of large groups. But I took it as a challenge to improve myself and face a personal difficulty. As we say, practice is the only way to get better at something!

That’s what happened during these last two months. I’m looking forward to experiencing new things in the coming month!

Vidimo se :)
Jenny!
