December and January at Association "MI"

December and January were truly special months for us as volunteers in Split. They were full of meaningful activities, new experiences, and unforgettable moments that brought us even closer to the community and to each other.
December – The Spirit of Giving

December was all about sharing goodness and spreading the holiday spirit. One of our biggest projects was organizing a charity action. Together, we handmade more than 100 Christmas ornaments. Alongside this, we baked delicious gingerbread cookies, filling the kitchen with the wonderful smell of spices and Christmas joy.
After many hours of preparation, we sold our ornaments and gingerbread at the Christmas fair. All the money we raised was donated to a foundation supporting people experiencing homelessness. It was not only about selling handmade products — it was about being part of something bigger, something meaningful.
During this time, we truly felt the spirit of solidarity and kindness. The atmosphere was warm, even on the coldest days, because everyone was connected by the same goal: helping others.

January – New Challenges and Fresh Energy

After the Christmas break, we had the honor to participate in the on-arrival training in Orahovica. It was an extraordinary adventure full of challenges, emotions, and inspiring meetings. We met volunteers from different countries, shared experiences, and learned more about our roles and responsibilities within the project. The training helped us grow both personally and professionally.
When we returned to Split, we started many new activities. We launched French and Polish language courses for our wonderful beneficiaries. They are very talented and actively participate in the classes, which makes teaching them a real pleasure.
We also introduced new integration activities, such as tombola games. These meetings allow participants to relax, laugh, and connect in a less formal atmosphere.
Of course, we also organized several creative workshops during this time. Each meeting brought something different — art, conversation, teamwork, and joy. January turned out to be an extremely productive and fulfilling month.

Looking Forward
We are excited about what the future will bring. With new ideas, motivation, and the constant support of our organization, we are ready for the next challenges. We look forward to creating more beautiful moments together!
